Onychomycosis

The main fungal infection affected the nails known as onychomycosis. It is also known as the Dermatophytic onychomycosis which is the ringworm of the nail and tinea unguium. In fact this meant by the fungal infection of the nail. This is the most common disease infection of the nail. It creates and makes about the half if all types of abnormalities if the nail. This infection condition damages the toenails which are also known as the finger nails. But there is a common infection of this disease in the place is enail. The prevalence of onychomycosis is about 6-8% in the adult population. Onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes is also known as tinea unguium which is called the tinea of the nails. The classification and external resources of a toenail affected by onychomycosis is clearly shown in the figure. Thus these are about the disease onychomycosis.
